Gite des Chirons is a high specification home from home, where you can completely relax and unwind.
This beautiful property comfortably sleeps six. There is a king-size master bedroom with sofa and dressing area plus two further generous double bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room. All the bedrooms are large and airy, with black-out Velux blinds and black-out curtains. Linen and towels are provided and changed weekly.
There is one large family bathroom upstairs and a shower room downstairs. There is an extremely well-equipped kitchen with kitchen table, island with breakfast bar, gas oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and Kitchen Aid appliances.
The spacious living room is very cool in summer months and has leather sofas and chairs plus an extendable dining table for 6 people and a wood burner for chillier days. Both the living room and kitchen have French & British TV and there is Neosat satellite broadband throughout the house and garden.
The perfect sun-trap of a patio and secluded garden can be accessed from both the kitchen and living room. There is a comfortable outside sofa as well as outside table and chairs, recliners and a BBQ. Smoking is only permitted outside and please use the ashtrays provided.
At the garden gate, you will meet Dominic & Dorothy, who are rescue donkeys. They live in the adjacent field and will undoubtedly pay you a visit during your stay, particularly if a carrot or an apple is forthcoming.
There is a two acres course fishing lake opposite the house and guests are most welcome to fish it during their stay. Tackle hire, local licences and tuition is available from www.lesforgesfishing.com – please see the Fishing page for further details.
Guests are also welcome to use the bell tent located on the lake to reflect and relax. It is also a great place to refuel and share an aperitif as the sun goes down, after another fabulous day in this wonderful region.
Please note: due to the proximity of the lake, all children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times when visiting the lake and its environs.
