Located on the border of the Vendée and Deux-Sèvres departments in western France, we have two holiday homes available for rental, both offering the benefits of a truly idyllic, rural location and close to many of the region’s key attractions.
Gite des Chirons is situated in a peaceful hamlet, west of the town of Moncoutant. Sleeping up to 6 people, this beautifully converted forge offers the benefits of a peaceful, secluded retreat with extensive, private grounds and its own fishing lake. It even has its own pet hens and two rescue donkeys,
Gite des Roses, is a typical French shuttered house, located north of Moncoutant and only 30 minutes from the famous Puy du Fou theme park. In a small village location, the house can be divided to suit a family of 4 or the entire house can be taken for a group of 8 people. It is dog-friendly and 2-3 canine companions are most welcome in its fully-enclosed garden.
Both of these perfect French rural retreats are only 3.5-4 hours from the ferry ports of St Malo and Caen and just 75 minutes from Poitiers, La Rochelle and Nantes airports.
